Is your school meeting Smart Snacks Guidelines?

The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act of 2010 set new nutrition standards for all food sold in schools. This includes vending machines, a la carte, and fundraising. Click this link to use the Smart Snacks Calculator and see if your item is compliant.

How much physical activity does your child get per week?

A new wellness goal is for adults to get 150 minutes of physical activity per week, and children to get 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Schools have different goals and guidelines for how much students receive during school time, and are working to make sure students stay active.

The following appendices relate to healthy ideas found within each policy.
